There’s nothing wrong with more content. According to a new report from WWEnetworknews.com, WWE has purchased forty eight shows from the Heartland Wrestling Association, a former developmental territory based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. These shows are all from 2001-2002 and are only a small piece of the HWA library.

There aren’t a ton of big names from HWA around this time but some names include Nick Dinsmore (Eugene), Charlie Haas, Raven and Nigel McGuinness. HWA would go on to help produce Dean Ambrose and Sami Callihan, both of whom would be huge stars for the company.

I’m all for these developmental territories getting a fresh audience. There’s good stuff in there and it’s cool to see them seeing the light of day again. Just because something is more of a minor league doesn’t mean it’s not entertaining wrestling and it’s fun to see where a lot of these stars came from.

Would you watch a former developmental territory? What other promotions do you want to see on the WWE Network? Let us know in the comments below.
