It’s been some time since the Excellence of Execution revealed his battle with cancer and underwent surgery. How’s he doing now?

Very well, it turns out. Nearly a year after surgery to remove his prostate, it seems Bret Hart has made a full recovery.

Speaking to Canadian outlet Sportsnet, the Hitman said he’s at 100% and now back in the gym having made a full recovery.

Bret was understandably adamant about getting tested. “You gotta go in and get a blood test,” he said. “If you’re a man over 40, you need to go in. You don’t want to be like my brother, Smith, who’s a guy that didn’t worry about it and it’s too late now.”

Hart says his brother now has about a year to live. “If you’ve got prostate cancer, if you don’t catch it early, you could die from it. And if you catch it early, you can live a pretty normal life.”

“I would say,” Bret added, “I’m pretty close to normal.”

It’s certainly not the first health issue the Hitman has had, since it was injury that prematurely ended his in-ring career. But it’s fantastic to hear that Bret has made a full recovery.
