We’ve got a pretty good idea what’s going on with the WWE Championship this year, but what about Raw’s big title? A new report offers a big window into what to expect.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Goldberg is expected to defeat Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship at Fastlane, with Brock Lesnar challenging for the title at WrestleMania.

Goldberg’s current contract makes the WrestleMania match his last, but if both he and WWE feel there is potential for more, it could certainly be renewed.

As plans currently stand, Lesnar would win the title at Mania, and ultimately be defeated by WWE’s “next big thing.” This was obviously the same plan as in 2014-2015 title run, where he was to be beaten by Roman Reigns–until crowd responses forced a sudden cash-in from Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins.

With Roman expected to face the Undertaker at Mania, the story would certainly direct him as the next logical contender for the title, though it’s not as if his crowd responses are any better than his shot at that title.

The other possibility is Braun Strowman, who is obviously the other major player currently on Raw.

What do you think, folks? Is putting the title up in the Goldberg/Lesnar feud the smart choice? Let us know in the comments, or on Facebook!
