Tommy Dreamer Nearly Lost His Eye This Week

Tommy Dreamer is a hardcore legend. He has spent most of his career either in the ECW or in the WWE vying for the hardcore title.

When you spend that much time doing the things required to be hardcore, you’re bound to rack up some scars on top of some medical bills.

But apparently for Dreamer, being hardcore doesn’t leave him when he exits the ring. Apparently, daily life is just that hardcore for him that he almost lost his eye in a freak accident involving his dog.

You heard that right, Dreamer’s dog almost took his entire eye on accident. Dreamer took to Twitter to say that he was involved in a freak accident that ripped through his contact and scratched his cornea, claiming it to be the “worst pain ever.”

I have actually had an accident that involved a scratched cornea, and can confirm it’s painful. But to hear someone who has been involved with being thrown off a scaffolding to say he is the most pain ever is actually shocking.

As expected, Dreamer is taking some time off from the wrestling circuit to cope with his injury. Let’s just hope they don’t try to work this into a storyline somewhere.
