In the latest edition of “Talk is Jericho,” WWE Executive VP of Talent Relations, Live Events, and Creative Triple H says Vince McMahon will never retire. During the latest edition of former WWE Champion Chris Jericho’s widely popular podcast, “The Game” discusses whether or not he’s being groomed to replace McMahon any time soon, to which his explanation rings out with a deafening, “No.”

When asked if McMahon would ever retire, Triple H said,

“No. You know what? It’s almost like the… when he’s tired, he wants to go to the gym. It’s almost like tired is the enemy and it makes him want to do more. He works more now.

He works longer hours, he sleeps less. I’m telling you, I’ll leave the office at night time and there’s nobody there but he’s still in his office working, and then he goes downstairs. He’ll text me at 1 in the morning and I’m just finishing training too but he’s texting me at my house he’s finishing training. You know, he doesn’t sleep a lot. It is what he is.

People say it all the time, ‘oh, he’s being groomed to take over.’ No, I’m not. That’s only if he dies. The day he dies, apparently, I take over unless I’m the one that killed him, then I go to jail.”

Triple H also recalls the first time he ever rode with The Kliq (Sean Waltman, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Shawn Michaels), who would become his best friends in the business and go on to change the face of Sports Entertainment during the 1990s. In referencing that first “ride” with The Kliq, he described that after he had gotten in line to rent a car in Boston, Nash called him out of said line and asked if he wanted to ride with the boys in their van.

The group then made the commute from Boston to Portland for a WWE Live Event, but Triple H said things wouldn’t get interesting until after the show when the boys went out partying. He goes on to describe his first TRUE introduction to the Kliq that night, saying,

“Long story short, we carried Kid (Waltman) out, Shawn (Michaels) can barely carry him with me.

Kevin drags Scott out, because we’re trying to get out of there before the cops come and we’re trying to avoid the rush of the guys who are coming out with us.

I’m slapping the crap out of Kid in the parking lot because I can’t feel his heartbeat and we all end up in the emergency room. And this is my first night!”

Editor’s Note:
Even Triple H thinks McMahon will have to die before he’s allowed to take over. Sheesh.
