Sheamus reportedly is a “no go” for the 2015 “Royal Rumble” event on Jan. 25. It was previously reported that Sheamus may return in the 28th annual Royal Rumble Match. However, it seems as if he is now not expected to appear at the PPV.
According to PWInsider, the Irish superstar, who recently claimed during a backstage segment filmed for WWE.com that he is out indefinitely, is not expected to appear at the “Royal Rumble.” While anything can happen, and he could still show, reports claim that he is not slated to be there.
While Sheamus claims that it is an injury that has kept him out of action for months, rumors also surround the former WWE Champion about where he has actually been. Previous reports claimed that Sheamus had been cast as the infamous cinema-heel Darth Vader in the upcoming “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens” film.
The crew for the film has been undergoing reshoots the last six-to-seven weeks, which would match up with Sheamus’ time away from the ring. In the recent video filmed for WWE.com on Jan. 19, Sheamus also was seen sporting a bald head under a driving cap, which may or may not play into his rumored role as Vader.
Nevertheless, Sheamus was rumored to be returning at the “Royal Rumble,” possibly to undergo a heel turn. However, this may not be the case as of now.
Editor’s Note:
I am still weary on whether we’ll see Sheamus or not. He could still be there…and he’s totally been off playing Darth Vader.
