During the June 2 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Seth Rollins shocked the WWE Universe when he attacked his former partners Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Rollins, affectionately known previously as the “architect of The Shield,” turned heel in the process, and seemingly joined the enemy when he stood side-by-side with Evolution members Randy Orton and Triple H as “Monday Night Raw” went off-the-air.

As previously reported, a split between members of The Shield has been in the works for some time. With the latest edition of WWE Magazine teasing an end to the faction in June, it was expected that on of the Hounds of Justice, if not two of them, would turn on the others during the sixth month of 2014.

WWE executives believe that Reigns is a future mega-star and want to begin a singles career push for him as soon as possible. A match between Triple H and Reigns at “SummerSlam” has been penciled in since WrestleMania XXX season came to an end.

Ambrose, who WWE officials will one day be a fantastic heel character in his own right, will also benefit from beginning a singles career, which could also likely begin at “SummerSlam” in August. Rollins was the character that seemingly would have been “left out” during a singles run with nothing but his move set to fall back on.

However, WWE officials believe that with Rollins now being associated with Triple H and Randy Orton, he has a better shot of extending his time on WWE television as a main event player and could “adapt” in opposed to “perishing.”

Rollins attacked his former partners with a steel chair during the final segment of the June 2 “RAW.” Reigns would go to Twitter following the attack to comment on the events that unfolded during the program.

Rollins is expected to now replace Batista in Evolution moving forward and matches between Orton, Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose will likely take place at “Money In The Bank” and “Battleground” leading the storyline into August’s “SummerSlam” PPV.

Editor’s Note:
The segment where Rollins turned was so great. Ambrose sold the surprise, Triple H said, “I won,” Reigns and Ambrose were destroyed. This was an epic turn.
