Batista Responds to “Bluetista” Twitter Trend

In the main event of “WWE Payback” on Sunday night, The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) completed a clean sweep of Evolution (Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton) in their ‘No Holds Barred Elimination’ match.

During the show, #Bluetista trended on Twitter as fans mocked Batista’s overly blue attire.

This didn’t sit well with the former World Champion as he vented his frustrations on his personal Twitter account early today.

Batista is expected to be taking time off in the very near future to begin promotion for his upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film which is set for release in August.

In his new DVD (Batista: The Animal Unleashed), Batista goes in-depth on how the immediate fan reaction to his return has bothered him more than he’s let on.

I don’t see what the big deal is with the Twitter trend. Fans are very observant and love to be humorous on social media whenever they can. It had people talking about Batista at least. Everyone who watched the main event of “WWE Payback” respects what all six men accomplished in and around the ring. No Twitter trend can diminish that.
