We recently reported here at WrestlingRumors.net that while rumors have circulated over the upcoming “WWE Money in the Bank” having two Ladder matches on the card (one for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and one for the MITB briefcase), the plan is for the special event to feature only one.

Cesaro is the odds-on favorite to walk away with the briefcase, although that has yet to be confirmed.

According to F4WOnline.com, five of the seven spots in the match have already been filled by WWE officials backstage. None of those names have yet to be revealed publicly.

All of the entrants will be determined by qualifying matches leading up to the event. Expect to see that process begin later tonight on “Monday Night Raw.”

Randy Orton won the MITB Ladder match in 2013. He eventually cashed in at “WWE SummerSlam” after Daniel Bryan had just won the belt from John Cena.

Editor’s Note

There are a number of guys WWE can throw into a Money in the Bank Ladder match at this point. With the John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt feud likely over, they could possibly be involved. Same goes for all three members of The Shield and all three members of Evolution. Kane? Cesaro will undoubtedly be a participant. The possibilities are endless. With the right names, this could be a MOTY candidate if handled correctly.
