CM Punk Will Face Ryback at Battleground

Former WWE Champion CM Punk will face Ryback at WWE Battleground on October 6th. The match was made official on Monday Night Raw.

Ryback was revealed to be the next “Paul Heyman guy” at Night of Champions, interfering in Punk’s match with Paul Heyman. Ryback put Punk through a table, enabling Heyman to get the pinfall victory over the “Second City Saint.”

Ryback vs CM Punk is the third official match made for WWE’s new October Pay-Per-View, Battleground. The other two matches that have been made official for the card are Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship, and Rob Van Dam vs Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Champion.
