6/28 Smackdown *Spoilers*

This week’s episode of WWE Smackdown was taped in Columbia, South Carolina at the Colonial Life Arena. The show will air in the US on Friday.

WWE SmackDown

(1) Sheamus def. Damien Sandow in a Dublin Street Fight.

(2) Natalya def. *Divas Champion* AJ Lee in a Non-title Match. Near the end of the match, Kaitlyn came out on the stage dressed as AJ Lee, mimicking Lee’s actions from RAW.

– MizTV segment with Curtis Axel and the Miz. Axel attacked The Miz to end the interview.

(3) Randy Orton def. Kane.

(4) Ryback def. Justin Gabriel.

(5) Christian & The Usos def. The Shield. It should be noted that The Shield’s losses are happening on Smackdown. Christian got the winning pinfall in this match-up.

– Alberto Del Rio’s fiesta. The celebration is equipped with Mexican flags, balloons, Mexican food, and a Dolph Ziggler piñata. Ricardo Rodriguez and a mariachi band comes out to the ring first, and he continues to mock the “accents” and stereotypes of South Carolina fans as he did on RAW. Rodriguez then introduces Del Rio, who brags a little in english, but then begins to speak in Spanish. After several minutes’s worth of remarks in Spanish, he goes back to English, then busts up the Ziggler piñata.

Ziggler then comes out from the back, without AJ Lee or Big E Langston. A brawl ensues, and Ziggler clotheslines Ricardo over the top rope. When Ricardo gets up to the top rope, Ziggler catches him and throws him through the table of food. He then grabs a guitar left behind by the mariachi band and swung for Del Rio, but he escapes through the crowd. Ricardo then gets a guitar shot in the back.

Ziggler then picks up a sombrero and the now-broken guitar, and begins to play a song with the mariachi band on the entrance ramp. His music then begins to play and a bunch of red, white, and green balloons fall from the ceiling. Ziggler walked up the ramp as his music played, but out of nowhere Del Rio re-appears from backstage and attacks Ziggler from behind. Del Rio beats Ziggler back down the ramp and gets him back into the ring, where he and Ricardo beat on him for a while. However, before the segment ends, Ziggler got a fame-asser on Del Rio and celebrates in the ring with the World Title as the show comes to an end.
