The Rock Comments on WWE 2K14’s Cover Art

As we previously reported, 2K Sports has revealed the new WWE 2K14 video game cover art, featuring former WWE Champion The Rock. In association with this reveal, 2K Sports has also issued a press release featuring a quote from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson about being on the cover of the next installment of WWE video games.

Johnson says, “I am exceptionally grateful to be chosen for the cover of WWE 2K14 and serve as the first cover Superstar under 2K’s leadership. I want the cover of WWE 2K14 to electrify the people. I want the artwork to stand out and set a new standard for all WWE video games from 2K, both today and in the future.”

This is not the first WWE/WWF video game that Johnson has graced the cover of, as he (or his likeness) has also been featured on the packaging of WWF Attitude, WWF WrestleMania 2000, WWF No Mercy, WWF Royal Rumble, WWF Betrayal, WWF With Authority, WWF Smackdown, WWF Smackdown: Know Your Role, WWF Smackdown: Just Bring It, WWE Crush Hour, WWE WrestleMania XIX, WWE All Stars, and WWE Legends of WrestleMania. 

WWE 2K14 will be released worldwide October 29th, 2013.
