You go, rock star. One of the craziest stories in the world of professional wrestling over the past couple of months was the release of several WWE superstars due to the COVID-19 pandemic that is sweeping the world. That includes Drake Maverick, even though he was competing in the Interim Cruiserweight Championship tournament.
However, it would appear that management has had a change of heart. At the end of tonight’s episode of NXT, Maverick was in a battle with El Hijo de Fantasma for the Cruiserweight Championship. Although he fought valiantly, he came up a bit short and the announcers said that Maverick’s career with WWE was over.
However, that ended up not being the case, as Triple H appeared at the top of the ramp and presented Maverick with an NXT contract to close the show.

Editor’s Opinion:
YES! I was hoping that this would happen!! Ever since WWE ran a video piece on him showcasing his journey, I had a feeling that he would be re-signed. He has a connection with the fans that is organic and can be a real asset to the brand. Congratulations on this awesome moment! YOU DESERVE IT!!
