The “Tough Enough” roller coaster is coming to an end.

WWE superstar and host Chris Jericho, posted on his Instagram account that next week’s show will be the final episode of the season. One male and one female contestant will each win a $250,000 developmental contract to train with WWE, with Josh and ZZ competing for the men’s contract, and Sara Lee and Amanda competing for the women’s contract.

Below is an announcement from Jericho’s official Instagram account before the final results were announced:

It’s been a rocky road for “Tough Enough” this season. There was an awkward judge replacement halfway through the show with The Miz replacing Hulk Hogan, who was released from his WWE contract earlier this summer.

In addition, ZZ – who is one of the most popular characters on the show – is reportedly not thought of very highly by the WWE brass

Several current and former personalities have expressed negative feelings towards the show, such as Corey GravesSeth Rollins and Mick Foley.

In contrast, Paige, who is another judge, stated recently that she thinks there is potential for each of the female contestants to be successful on the main roster.
