Nikki Bella’s Status for “Monday Night Raw” and “SummerSlam” Revealed

Current WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella has been nursing a sore back, which kept her out of action during scheduled Live Event appearances this past weekend.

So what does this mean for her status on “Monday Night Raw” tonight and WWE “SummerSlam” on Aug. 23?

Nikki’s boyfriend, John Cena, appeared on NBC’s “Today” earlier this morning, with Nikki along for the trip. She will reportedly fly back with Cena to Minneapolis and be in attendance for television later tonight, although there’s no word yet on whether she will be competing in a match.

As far as the pay-per-view on Sunday is concerned, Nikki is expected to be healthy enough to compete in the Divas Revolution Elimination tag team match when Team Bella (Nikki, Brie Bella, and Alicia Fox) take on Team B.A.D (Sasha Banks, Naomi, and Tamina Snuka), and Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch).

Nikki is less than 30 days away from breaking AJ Lee’s record of being the longest-reigning Divas titleholder in company history.

Injuries are always a drag, even when it’s to those superstars/divas who you aren’t necessarily a fan of. Nikki may not be the most popular member of the Divas Revolution, but she’s still important, and a huge focal point of the match at “SummerSlam.” There’s no need to have her wrestle on “Raw.” Preserve her body and keep her fresh for Sunday.
