Let the bidding begin. Earlier this year, WWE released several talents due to budget cuts and the merger of WWE & UFC under one heading, TKO. These superstars will become free agents this week, as the 90-day non-compete clause in their contracts expires.
These wrestlers are:
- Mustafa Ali
- Aliyah
- Shelton Benjamin
- Rick Boogs
- Dana Brooke
- Dabbo-Kato
- Elias
- Quincy Elliot
- Yulissa Leon
- Mace
- Mansoor
- Riddick Moss
- Matt Riddle
- Shanky
- Top Dolla
- Dolph Ziggler
Although most NXT stars are under 30-day non-compete clauses, there were some main roster stars still under their same deals who were doing some work for the black and gold brand. As a result, they had to wait out the 90-day non-compete with the rest of the main roster stars from Raw and SmackDown.
Editor’s Opinion:
There are some major names on this list, and to this day, I can’t figure out why WWE let some of them go. I can see a lot of them having success in other promotions, particularly AEW, where they would least get a good chunk of change before being lost in the shuffle. Hopefully, some of them can resurrect their careers in other promotions, and make their way back to WWE, should that be what they want to do!
