It looks like Vince McMahon is planning a huge surprise for this year’s WrestleMania, although it’s not clear what that surprise will be. Could it be a returning Finn Balor? What about a main roster debut for Shinsuke Nakamura? Or, could it be the return of both Matt and Jeff Hardy, who are currently free agents? The answer to all three of those questions, at least for now, is no.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon’s huge WrestleMania surprise will more than likely end up being the return of Hulk Hogan, who was released by WWE in the summer of 2015.
@davemeltzerWON Does Vince still have a "surprise" in store for Mania, as reported earlier this year?

I would expect Hogan https://t.co/wGZtkTmzBi

While a Hogan return at WrestleMania would get a huge reaction, it probably wouldn’t mean all that much because WWE won’t allow him to wrestle, or, at least it seems like they won’t.
Since his return to the company in early-2014, Hogan has been campaigning for at least one more match, but WWE hasn’t given him his wish. Will they when he returns? That remains to be seen, but I’m guessing that they won’t.
