John Cena is scheduled to make his WWE television return on the July 4 episode of SmackDown Live, but, as we know by now, he’ll probably be returning to Raw shortly thereafter.

Last week, WWE announced that John Cena is a free agent, which means that he’ll be able to go on whichever show he wants, whenever he wants. Essentially, he’ll be the only WWE superstar who is allowed to be a part of both shows.

As for what Cena will be doing when he returns to television, well, as of right now, we don’t know. But, according to a report made by SportsKeeda, Cena will have a lot more creative freedom upon his return, and he has made it known that he would like to work with the younger guys on the roster.

Rumor has it that John Cena will challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam. If the rumor is true, he’ll likely immediately begin feuding with Jinder when he returns to the blue brand on July 4.
