After roughly seven months of speculation, The Undertaker’s return to WWE television for the nine hundredth edition of SmackDown in a little under two weeks. Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania isn’t what most people had in mind, but they’ll take it.
There is a lot of speculation about Undertaker’s sudden return to WWE television. The big questions are if this is a one-off appearance to celebrate SmackDown or the start of something that could have him back on WWE programming for the foreseeable future.
According to a report from RingSideNews.com, WWE officials are likely to start a feud between The Undertaker and Randy Orton during that episode of SmackDown. It isn’t clear if their feud will happen immediately, but Orton is expected to be his opponent.
Orton’s recent alignment with The Wyatt Family is believed to be a way for WWE to book the feud between the two men. The idea is The Undertaker needs to work with a veteran, who can protect him and take the pressure off The Deadman in the ring.
Not only that but Orton’s star power makes him an ideal opponent for Undertaker’s next match, especially if it takes place at “Survivor Series” or the “Royal Rumble.”
