Tonight’s “Royal Rumble” match lived up to the hype. Not only did we see history with the debut of AJ Styles in WWE. But, we say the return of Sami Zayn to WWE after making his debut last year in Montreal during John Cena’s US Open Challenge.

Tonight, the eighteenth entrant into the match was Kevin Owens. He gained some fresh heel heat by eliminating AJ Styles. However, he was not expecting Sami Zayn to enter the match as the number twenty entrant and neither was anyone in attendance as the arena exploded.

Their feud was reignited immediately, and they battled until Zayn was able to eliminate Owens from the match for a small amount of payback.

Owens vs. Zayn was one of the best feuds of last year in NXT. Many were curious about Sami Zayn’s return from injury. He had the rare choice of having to choose between going to NXT and the main roster.

Recently, Zayn discussed that he wanted to pick up where he left off in Montreal. It appears that he’ll be able to do that because he’s had unfinished business with Owens for almost a year now. It looks like Owens vs. Zayn will be the feud for them going forward.
