Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods should be tremendously proud of what they’ve accomplished. When the stable first started, they were though to be one of the worst ideas, but they’ve turned their run into one of the most successful in WWE tag team history.
A lot of teams peak, have their time in the sun, and they fade out as quickly as they rose to fame. The New Day has had a long run of almost two years, and they have held the Tag Team Championship for most of that time.
It’s a shame that the group has to come to an end, but it seems that a lot of WWE officials and Vince McMahon himself are leaning towards breaking the group up over the next few weeks, according to RingSideNews.com.
There are rumors of a heel turn for Big E and Xavier Woods, but the belief is that Big E would get the singles push because McMahon sees main event potential in him while Kingston and Woods would remain a tag team.
Do you think now is the time to break up The New Day?
