Why WWE Contacted Cody Rhodes About a New Deal Revealed

Cody Rhodes requested and was granted his release back in May from WWE, but you can imagine the surprise of wrestling fans when the news broke that Rhodes was negotiating with the company for a new deal.

The specifics of the deal weren’t disclosed with the breaking news, but it was revealed that Cody Rhodes was very unhappy about the news breaking on the dirtsheets. Now, we know why Cody got upset over it.

According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, Cody Rhodes recently appeared on “The Ric Flair Show” to do an interview with The Nature Boy that was big enough for two episodes.

During the first part of his talk with Flair, Rhodes talked about WWE recently offering him a deal that was related to a biography that is in development of his father, the late-great “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes.

The project is a book that Cody Rhodes has been working on for awhile now and he was in touch with WWE about a book deal for him to keep writing and own the rights to the project.

Cody got upset when the talks leaked to news sites because he expected the project and the talks with WWE to remain confidential.
