On SmackDown Live this week, Jeff Hardy defended the United States Title against Eric Young of SAnitY. The match ended up being a no contest and eventually became a six-man tag team match, which was the result of the injury Shinsuke Nakamura’s suffered on Tuesday. The Hardy vs. Nakamura feud hit a snag but it should continue very soon.
The expectation is The Charismatic Enigma will be dropping the US Title to The King of Strong Style sooner rather than later. His reign as champion has proven that WWE isn’t finished showcasing Hardy as a singles star in the company, but it’s coming to light that WWE officials are planning to make some major changes to Jeff’s on-screen character.
