How to get around creative not having anything for you. With just two hours of SmackDown Live every single week, there’s not a lot that can be done to get most people on the show. There’s just not enough room for all of these people to get television time, but at least there is room before and after the television show to get a few more people on the show, which is what happened this week.

There’s some good stuff in here.

Samoa Joe & The Miz vs New Day Smackdown Dark Match June 26 2018

According to Wrestlinginc.com, there was a dark match both before and after SmackDown Live this week. Before the show went on the air, Anderson and Gallows defeated the Bar. The Bar hasn’t had a televised match this month. After the show was over, Samoa Joe and the Miz teamed up in a losing effort against Big E. and Kofi Kingston of the New Day. Before the match, Miz did a Rick Rude inspired promo, mocking people in the audience. New Day won the match by knocking Joe to the floor and hitting the Midnight Hour on Miz.

Opinion: I’ll give them points for doing something other than the same WWE Championship matches they seem to do so often at these things. New Day is still one of the most popular acts on the show and the kids will have a good time seeing them beat up someone like Miz to end the night. Samoa Joe not taking the fall is the right move too and another reason to keep Miz out there in the first place.
