A decade in the making. Earlier this year, Daniel Bryan was cleared to return to the ring after several years on the injured list, sending shockwaves through WWE and SmackDown Live. The questions became who would he face first and could he ever be WWE Champion again. The wish list was pretty long, but there was one name on the top of nearly everyone’s: the Miz. Bryan and Miz have been linked together since Bryan debuted in WWE but they’ve never had that one big match. Now though, it might be penciled in for a pretty big stage.

These two were going at it again earlier this week on SmackDown Live. Check out our full results right here.

According to Forbes, the WWE may be gearing up for a WrestleMania 34 match between Bryan and Miz. The two “met” in a gauntlet match on SmackDown Live earlier this month with Miz pinning an unconscious Bryan and Miz talked trash about Bryan later. At the moment, the plan may be to have Miz win the WWE Title from AJ Styles later in the year and defend against Bryan at WrestleMania 35 the following year. As usual, the plans could change in the intervening time, but Bryan vs. Miz would seem likely at some point in some form.

I know this gets played a lot between these two, but it’s one of the best promos in the last fifteen years.

The Miz completely loses it in the face of GM Daniel Bryan: WWE Talking Smack, Aug. 23. 2016

Opinion: This match has to happen on the grand stage at some point, but I’m not sure about it being the main event of WrestleMania. That’s a pretty big leap and there are going to be bigger matches on the card. That being said, I’d love for Miz to get another World Title reign as he’s more than earned at least another chance after all the grinding he’s done over the years. Bryan getting the title back would be great too, though Miz beating Bryan does make my eyebrows go up.
