Rey Mysterio’s influence and impact on wrestling cannot be undervalued. Sure, you could argue that he’s overrated, but all that’s really going to happen is you’ll look very foolish once you look at his accomplishments in WWE and especially out of WWE.

His impact on WWE was so important that the company continues to try and fail to fill the Latino market with “the next Rey Mysterio.” Mysterio himself may be irreplaceable, but he’s going to help bring the next generation of the Mysterio family into wrestling.

According to a report from Sportskeeda.com, his son Dominic, who is well known by WWE fans for his brief appearances as a child during the “feud for Dominic” between Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero, will begin training as a wrestler in early January.

Recently, Mysterio appeared on “Keepin’ it 100 with Konnan” and revealed that he’ll be taking his son into the ring early next year to begin the process of training him. You can listen to the full podcast right here. Below is what Rey had to say specifically:

“Come January, I’m gonna get him in the ring and see how his reflexes are as soon as he steps into the ring”. See what he can do, what he cannot do… And then go from there. And Konnan, I think he’s gonna be a part of this once I get him in there.”
