The WWE Universe was thrilled to learn that Paul Heyman was appointed the Executive Director of Raw. Most people are excited about Eric Bischoff’s return to the company as well, but there are a lot of questions about Triple H’s place in the entire situation.
Heyman has been playing the game behind the scene for a while now, but Bischoff’s new role has a lot of people questioning why he was chosen a lead SmackDown over someone like Triple H, especially after all the success he’s had backstage with NXT.

According to a report from Rajah, Vince McMahon didn’t want to put Triple H into that situation only for him to fail. WWE officials are working extremely hard to enforce positive changes to the WWE product, but that’s why a lot of fans don’t understand why HHH was passed over for Bischoff when he’s proven his ability to create great content.
Vince McMahon’s logic is that it’s more important to protect Triple H for the long term since he’s essentially Vince’s successor. With SmackDown moving to FOX, Vince just doesn’t feel it’s the right time to put Triple H in a role that could end up hurting his long term value to the company’s future. That’s why Bischoff was chosen over The Game.
Over the past couple of weeks, it’s also come to light that Eric Bischoff’s role won’t be as intensive as the WWE Universe expected. As a result, it’s also clear why Triple H would be passed over for a role that doesn’t involve handling SmackDown’s creative process.
In addition, The Game’s schedule is likely overflowing with NXT, NXT UK, 205 Live and his other duties as WWE’s COO. His time will come eventually to lead the company.
