The details keep pouring in. WWE is rapidly closing in on its major move over to FOX as SmackDown Live heads to its new home on October 4. There are still a lot of details to be set up and one of them is the weekly studio show set to air on FS1. We already know a good deal about it, such as the main host and a possible co-host, but now we know one of the most important things.
According to Ringsidenews.com, WWE recently trademarked “WWE After The Bell” as a name for a potential new show. While not confirmed, this would seem to be the name for the yet to be officially announced studio show. The show would be similar to a mainstream sports studio show, with interviews and recaps of what is going on in WWE, with Renee Young as host and Jerry Lawler as the yet to be confirmed co-host.
They have done something like this before. Check out the legendary moment from Talking Smack:
Opinion: That’s not a terrible name at all, especially for a show that is designed for the masses instead of the hardcore or regular wrestling fans. There is a large audience who could get into WWE off of something like this so having a good name is the right idea. Now hopefully they can get the television numbers up a little bit because otherwise, this show isn’t going to matter in the first place.
