Raw Reaction: Sami Zayn Needs to Move to SmackDown Immediately

Sami Zayn needs to be put on SmackDown immediately. The way WWE is booking him right now is ridiculous. Not everything from NXT is able to translate to the main roster, but there is no way Zayn should be stuck in the midcard right now with nothing to do.

He’s way too good of a storyteller to be feuding with Kevin Owens for the majority of the year to fall so far down the WWE ladder that he’s being featured in four-minute matches with Titus O’Neil on Raw. It’s a complete waste of his potential as a top face.

Personally, I don’t understand why this is so difficult. He’s been having good matches with anyone he’s worked with, the crowd is chanting “Ole” consistently, he just need to be put in some bigger matches, but Raw is just too crowded talent wise to push him.

SmackDown is losing John Cena for most of the year. Dean Ambrose is rumored to be taking a hiatus. Sami Zayn would make a killing on SmackDown for the rest of the year.

You can’t watch his work from NXT and tell me that there isn’t an audience and a ton of potential in pushing him into the title picture on SmackDown. AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn would be great. Even something like Miz vs. Zayn for the IC title would be a great start.
