Roman Reigns vs. Rusev Set For "Hell in a Cell" Match at "Hell in a Cell" PPV

The rivalry between Rusev and Roman Reigns has been ongoing since the first edition of Raw since the brand extension. It’s been brutal, physical, and has become one of the most personal feuds on WWE programming over the summer.

From the fan’s perspective, it means that Reigns has become the US Champion. That is something the WWE Universe is willing to accept. Obviously, WWE is putting a lot into Reigns’ US title reign, so they’re looking to start it off with a huge match.

Tonight on Raw, the opening segment was an argument between Lana and Reigns that escalated into a battle between Roman and Rusev as their rivalry will continue.

Reigns got the last punch in, but he also dropped a bomb when he challenged Rusev to a “Hell in a Cell” match at the upcoming Raw PPV, which was shortly made official.

This will be the first time that Rusev steps into the structure. It’ll only be Reigns’ second time in his career, so both men are still fresh to the brutality of “Hell in a Cell.”
