The Cruiserweight division has been incredible since its debut on “Monday Night Raw” last month. We have seen some fantastic action between all of the competitors, and it has brought a new excitement and energy to the show.

One of those competitors has been Brian Kendrick. And he gets another opportunity to be at the top of the division.

WWE sent out the following tweet earlier tonight, announcing the following match for next week’s episode of “Raw:”

This will be Kendrick’s second opportunity for the championship within the last month. He came up short in a match with the Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins for the title at “Clash of Champions.”

Perkins has been the champion since winning the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic tournament last month.

Editor’s Note:

I’ve been so happy for Kendrick since he made his return to the company as a part of the cruiserweight division. I always enjoyed his work during his last stint with the company, as well as during his brief time with TNA. While I don’t think that he will win the title just yet, Kendrick is future cruiserweight champion. Count on it.
