Well WWE gave it the old college try, but it seems as if they’re going to be ending the League of Nations stable sooner rather than later.
Back in late 2015, the League of Nations was formed by the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus back in November after “Survivor Series.” It was meant to dominate WWE with the help of Rusev, King Barrett, and the United States Championship.
Unfortunately, Sheamus lost the WWE title and soon after, the same thing happened to Alberto Del Rio and his US title. The rumors are claiming that Barrett is going to be on his way out of WWE at some point over the next few months, and he’s been kicked out of the group.
Their momentum has been stagnant, to say the least, but it seems WWE isn’t willing to rebuild the group because there is a report going around that WWE officials are planning on breaking up The League of Nations.
As of this writing, there is no word on what WWE has planned for Rusev, Sheamus, or Del Rio. However, King Barrett’s expulsion from the group is said to be the beginning of the end of the stable.
