Over a month ago, Kurt Angle revealed his plans not to resign with TNA once his contract expires in January. Angle has announced that he will be taking a break from professional wrestling. But, he will not be retiring from it altogether.

Angle mentioned on his personal website in a new blog that he wants to use his college degree in education to teach and help others. Apparently, this has been a longtime goal of Angle’s for some time now.

Below is an excerpt from that blog of Angle discussing his goals and pursuing his dream:

“My ‘long shot’ dream was to be an Olympic Champion. Winning gold was my lifelong dream. I also had another passion, to be a teacher…to teach our youth. I have a college degree in education. I accomplished my ultimate dream, winning gold in the 1996 Olympics, but now that I’ve accomplished it, I want to use my college education to help others and to teach others.”

Many wrestling fans have a desire to see Angle finish his career in WWE. Angle is pursuing a passion outside of wrestling for the first time in the majority of his life. As Angle pursues his desire to use his degree, the time may come when Angle gets an itch to get back into the ring for TNA, or even WWE.
