Originally, it was believed that John Cena would be back from filming “American Grit” for FOX by WWE’s “TLC” next weekend. Unless there is a major surprise coming at that event that WWE has yet to advertise, John Cena is not expected to return at “TLC” in Boston.

However, that is not the event in question that John Cena is no longer advertised to be a part of. Cena was originally advertised to appear at The Forum in Inglewood on December 19th for a WWE live event. Also on the card is Brock Lesnar, but now it appears that Cena won’t be joining the Beast Incarnate at The Forum.

Unless plans change, or Cena returns at “TLC” in Boston, his first official night back with WWE will be at a WWE live event in Madison Square Garden on December 26th. As of this writing, he is scheduled to be facing the current United States Champion, Alberto Del Rio.

Cena lost the United States Championship to him at “Hell in a Cell” when Del Rio returned to WWE, so it’s only natural for Cena to return in similar fashion for his rematch. “TLC” would have been ideal, but Del Rio is defending the US title against Jack Swagger at the event.

Only time will tell to see when John Cena returns to WWE television, but you can most likely expect him before the end of the year.
