According to the Wrestling Observer, there is quite a bit of speculation surrounding a lot of Ring of Honor talents jumping over to WWE.

It’s been reported multiple times that WWE is actively shopping talents from other promotions to fill up NXT. Just today, there was news of WWE showing interest in the current ROH World Champion, Jay Lethal, along with Shinsuke Nakamura being rumored to sign with WWE yesterday.

WWE is actively pursuing multiple Ring of Honor talents for NXT, but the latest names to add to the list of rumored signees are Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett.

The married couple has been rumored to sign with WWE before, but it was believed that Kanellis’ previous stint with WWE held them back from being signed. Kanellis’ has been a free agent for some time now, but Mike Bennett’s contract has officially expired with ROH and he’s now a free agent.

Matt Taven’s contract with ROH also expired. As of this writing, there isn’t confirmation that Kanellis, Bennett, or Taven are discussing and negotiating with the company. However, WWE is actively pursuing talent for NXT and there are few better for the NXT brand than “The First Lady of Wrestling”, Mike Bennett and Matt Taven.
