That’s not a joke. There are a lot of influential people in WWE, but none of them are close to that of Vince McMahon. He runs the company like no one else and no one is going to change that for a very long way to come. With that kind of influence comes a lot of incredible power, with McMahon being able to make someone in the blink of an eye. That might be the case with a new talent.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon is a big fan of Chad Gable and is interested in pushing him, hence Gable’s run in the King of the Ring. Despite the loss, Gable seems ready to be continuing his feud with Baron Corbin, who defeated him in the tournament final. Also, the short jokes about Gable are not meant to be demeaning him as McMahon sees the jokes as a way to get him over.
He’s still going. Check out Gable’s followup to the King of the Ring:
Opinion: I’m all for Gable going forward as a face as he has all the tools that you could possibly need to be a star. He has the look, the in-ring abilities and the talking skills, so let WWE see what they have with him. It could work out quite well and maybe that could be the case if he is given the chance. McMahon being behind him is a great sign and maybe it can work out in the end.
Do you think Gable will be a star? What can McMahon do for him? Let us know in the comments below.
