It’s going to be a busy time for WWE. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world works, both in the short term and possibly in the long term. While there are no fans in the arena due to the threat of spreading the disease, you have to have wrestlers together if you are going to have a wrestling show. There are ways to make things a bit safer, though it is going to make for an interesting setup this time around.

On Sunday June 14, WWE will present its next pay per view with Backlash. This is a little bit of a change of pace from recent months, as there will be no major gimmick or theme to the show. That is not how WWE works more often than not, but it is going to make Backlash quite different than other shows. What is going to be even more unique is what happens the night after.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, WWE will be taping two weeks worth of all of their television shows from Monday – Wednesday of next week. This means that the editions of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown that follow Backlash will have been taped in advance. Backlash will air live on June 14. The idea of the taping schedule is to allow wrestlers to be away from the tapings for a week rather than being brought into Orlando every week.

Maybe something could be added. Check out how Backlash has gone extreme before:

Opinion: This won’t make much difference for the wrestlers are they will just be taping more matches, but it could make for some interesting television shows as they reference things that have not happened yet. If nothing else, this could give WWE a reason to actually plan things out in advance for a change. That would be a little nicer than having everything changed at the last possible second.

Will this cause problems? What are you expecting from Backlash? Let us know in the comments below.
