One more time? WWE has some incredible rivalries over its long history and some of them are very well received. At the same time, there are some which seem to leave fans shaking their heads a bit more, which is rarely a good sign. Sometimes these feuds are revisited later after their main run is over, but that might not make things much better. That seems to be the case again.
This week’s Monday Night Raw had to be changed at the last minute due to WWE Champion Drew McIntyre testing positive for the Coronavirus. As a result, WWE COO Triple H made a surprise return to the show and accepted a challenge from Randy Orton for later in the night. Orton and Triple H have a long and storied rivalry, and now WWE is teasing that there may be one more chapter.
WWE.com has released a poll asking if fans would like to see Triple H have another chance to humble Orton. As of 3:30am EST Wednesday morning, the results sit at 76% yes and 24% no. This comes after the fight between the two was interrupted by Alexa Bliss, who threw a fireball at Orton to end the show. Orton and Triple H’s most recent official match took place at Super Showdown in June 2019.
There does seem to be some interest. Check out what happened on Monday Night Raw:
Opinion: I really don’t need to see these two fight again, as not only have they done so dozens of times, but the matches have not been the most interesting in the first place. Now the two of them are far older than they were when they first feuded over fourteen years ago, so how much good is it going to do? This isn’t Rock vs. Steve Austin, even if WWE seems to believe that it is.
