You were asking for it. The spread of the Coronavirus has changed the way the world works with almost everything being affected in one way or another. This includes the world of professional wrestling, with WWE feeling the pain in particular. However, that being said, they have continued to put on their events every single week. Now, they are bringing another show back.
WWE certainly has a lot of content on their hands. Between their three main television shows, the company airs seven hours of original content a week. When you throw in their other shows, that number goes even higher. There are times that this can feel like a lot and that total is going to feel even bigger starting this week, as one of WWE’s minor shows is making a comeback.
According to PWInsider.com, 205 Live will begin airing original wrestling again this week. The company has taped two weeks worth of content this week, meaning that the show will be back to normal starting on the May 15 edition. Each episode will be about thirty minutes in length. Over the last four weeks, 205 Live has aired specials called Matches That Made Me, showing both a classic match that influenced a wrestler and another match featuring that wrestler. 205 Live airs at 10PM EST on the WWE Network.
You might not have seen much of it. Check out a little catch up on 205 Live:
Opinion: I don’t think I get this. Who in the world is asking for 205 Live, as in the lowest level of action on all of WWE, to come back regularly? The cruiserweight show didn’t even see any action from the Cruiserweight Title Tournament. Other than “because that’s what we do”, what reason is there to keep this show going? I really don’t understand this and that has been the case far too often with 205 Live.
