It is paying off. Wrestling is like any other sport in that at some point you have to change up the roster to bring in some fresh blood. That does not always mean that someone needs to be the youngest star around, as a few veterans can do a lot of great things for a roster. WWE is no different and now they are bringing in some other names to see what they have to offer.
SmackDown has been doing a rather nice job of setting up their roster to move up a few fresh faces and see what they can do. Several of these names are people who have been around the show for a long time, but now some of these wrestlers are being given a bigger chance than they have in a long time or even ever. It turns out that one person is behind the idea.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, Daniel Bryan is behind several of the new names on SmackDown receiving renewed pushes. This includes Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro and Apollo Crews, all of whom have been featured on SmackDown in recent weeks. Bryan has been a part of the SmackDown creative team since last year and has been a driving force for some lesser utilized wrestlers.
Bryan has done a lot for these people. Check out their recent efforts:
Opinion: This is about all you can ask for from someone like Bryan, as he has always seemed to be someone interested in pushing the future generation. It is great to see that the idea seems to be working, as these wrestlers have been doing some rather nice things on the show as of late. At some point you need to see what the wrestlers can do, and that is what SmackDown has been trying.
