That’s a big box to check. We are just over six weeks away from WrestleMania 37 and that means it is time to start setting things up in a hurry. With so many things left to cover, it is time for WWE to kick things into high gear. They already have a huge showdown for the Universal Title as men’s Royal Rumble winner Edge is going to be facing Roman Reigns, but now another match is covered.

The Royal Rumble was a huge night for WWE and played a big role on the Road to WrestleMania. While Edge won the men’s Royal Rumble, he was not the only big winner on the night. Bianca Belair won the women’s Royal Rumble and has a WrestleMania title shot of her own. That means she had a choice to make, and now we know what she is going to do.

This week on SmackDown, Belair decided to challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37. The decision came after the two failed in an attempt to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles at Elimination Chamber. This will be their first ever singles match against each other. Belair’s other choice, Raw Women’s Champion Asuka, was not present for the decision.

They have a history. Check out some of the road to Belair vs. Banks:

Banks and Belair are confronted by the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: SmackDown, Feb. 12, 2021

Belair, Banks & Reginald vs. Baszler, Jax & Bayley: SmackDown, Feb. 19, 2021

Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair show off instant chemistry: WWE Elimination Chamber

Opinion: I’m not sure how much of a surprise this is but at least they got to the point without wasting time. There was no reason to try and make fans believe that it was going to be Asuka so just set up the title match and start building towards it. The match should be a good one and Belair has turned into one of the best things about SmackDown so far, which gives me a lot of hope.
