They had an idea. The Money in the Bank briefcase is one of the more unique ideas that WWE ever had. It is one thing to have a title match guaranteed, but it is another to have a title match at any given second that you choose. This has led to some interesting situations over the years, but some of them have not gone as well as others. That seems to be the case at the moment, and some in WWE might be trying to change things up.

This year’s Money in the Bank was unlike any other before, as both the men’s and women’s match took place at the same time. The women’s match wound up being for the Raw Women’s Title itself, but the men’s was a more traditional version. The non-traditional part was the winner, with Otis of all people becoming Mr. Money in the Bank. Otis has held the briefcase for about five months and has not shown any indication of cashing it in as of yet. That might create a problem, which WWE may want to solve.

According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, some in WWE have pitched multiple ideas to get the briefcase away from Otis and onto someone else, which would allow the briefcase to become a main event storyline again. However, Vince McMahon is a big supporter of Otis, meaning that the move is not likely to take place. Otis has until May 2021 to cash in his contract.

Otis has been doing some things with the briefcase. Check out what he has been up to:

Opinion: I’m not sure what to think of this but at the end of the day, it’s rather hard to imagine Otis getting involved with the World Title scene given the roll that Roman Reigns has been on as of late. Otis is a very different kind of character and under certain circumstances, I could see him becoming an oddball World Champion. Right now though, that does not fit whatsoever and the briefcase feels like it might as well be on another planet. That needs to change, but WWE does have a lot of time to figure things out.
