That’s a bad thing to hear. There have been a lot of things going on in 2020 but one of the biggest stories in the wrestling world was the SpeakOut movement. It was certainly among the most important of all the stories and one that hopefully has the biggest impact. The movement made it clear that some changes needed to be made and one name in particular seemed to need to learn that more than others.

One of the higher profile names to be associated with the SpeakOut movement was the Velveteen Dream, who had been rapidly rising up the card in NXT but never quite reached the top of the promotion. Around the time the accusations against him came out, Dream was challenging for the NXT Title but failed to dethrone Adam Cole. It was no coincidence of course, and now one of the most powerful people in wrestling is commenting on the situation. Kind of.

Before Sunday’s NXT Takeover: 31, WWE COO Triple H took part in a Q&A session. One of the questions involved Dream, with Triple H saying that it has been a rough year for Dream. Triple H said that Dream’s immaturity in his personal life was bleeding over into his professional life and made things difficult for him. WWE never officially punished Dream in any way for the accusations against him.

There was a lot to this one. Check out the Q&A session:

Opinion: I think we’re officially at the point where we’re never going to get any significant punishment or even a direct acknowledgment of what Dream is accused of doing. There is a very real chance that Dream is innocent and if he is then so be it, but WWE is walking a thin line by barely mentioning the situation publicly and having Dream as a regular fixture on television and at Takeover.

Was Triple H’s explanation enough? What is next for Dream? Let us know in the comments below.
