Send in the backup. WWE has a lot of advantages over other wrestling companies and can do things that other promotions can’t do. One of their biggest advantages is the depth of their roster, as WWE has more top level talented wrestlers than they know what to do with most of the time. Sometimes they can’t even figure out something for them to do, but now we might be seeing something new from some of them.
WWE continues to try and expand their international presence by moving into new markets. That makes all the sense in the world as WWE can always use some new customers. They have to find someone new to watch their product and there are various places they can go to tap into an audience. They are trying that again and this time they are bringing in some reinforcements.
According to Sportskeeda.com, WWE is considering having various wrestlers involved with their upcoming Superstar Spectacle special for India. WWE may use Drew McIntyre, AJ Styles, Charlotte, New Day, Bayley and Rey Mysterio for the special in some way. The event will be filmed on January 22 and is scheduled to air on January 26, though it may air over the course of two nights.
Opinion: This makes perfect sense as having the big names in there are a great way to bring in some eyes to the new stars. You need to have some kind of a hook and a bunch of unknowns are not likely to be the best bet. Hopefully this winds up working because spreading over into India could be quite the benefit for WWE. That’s a lot of people potentially watching their product and getting off to a good start is a smart move.
