For now? Wednesday was one of the most newsworthy days in recent memory for WWE as the company cut or furloughed over thirty wrestlers, producers and other employees. It was one of those days that will be talked about for a long time to come and featured one update after another with news of more and more people being released. Now comes the question though: what’s next?

All day long, the worry was about finding out who might be the next person released. The releases were coming in waves and once it reached ten names, it was clear that this was not going to be any usual kind of day. There is not much more than can be done other than to sit around and wonder what is going to happen next. Now though, we might have an idea of what that will be.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the main roster cuts are done for the time being, though more NXT cuts are expected. At the moment, there is no word on how many more people will be cut, or how many NXT names have already been cut. In addition, the producers were furloughed, as there is no need to have so many of them since WWE is not running as many events at the moment.

There were a lot of people let go yesterday. Check out some of their work:

Opinion: This is one of those things where there is no good way to feel about it. It was horrible to see WWE release all of these people when there isn’t much of a place for them to go at the moment. I’m sure that some of them will get picked up here and there but at the same time, a lot of them are stuck with nowhere to go until this situation, as in the reason that they were let go in the first place, is over. It’s quite the paradox, and that makes things rather complicated.

What did you think of the cuts? Which one surprised you the most? Let us know in the comments below.
