The Mysterio Rule? Over the last few months, the Coronavirus has caused all kinds of problems around the world. Several of them have to do with trying to keep the virus from spreading, which is a lot easier said than done. There are various safety measures that can be taken, though some people are following them a little more than others. WWE is getting in on the act.
One of the most notable changes in WWE in recent months has been the lack of fans in attendance. With no fans actually present in the arena, the television shows have certainly lost a lot of their atmosphere. That is going to be the case for a long time to come, though the NXT wrestlers serving as an audience have helped a little. Starting immediately, they are going to look a little different.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE has instituted a new policy ordering anyone anyone involved in television tapings, outside of wrestlers or people actually appearing in a match or segment, to wear a face mask. There will be a $500 fine for someone not complying on the first offense and $1000 on the second offense. Some crowd members had been wearing a mask over the last week but it had not been universal.
Things had been a little different of late. Check out how the masks had been moved into use:
Opinion: I mean, it took them long enough. This is something that really shouldn’t have taken that long to set up in the first place and I’m not sure why WWE waited this long. Are fans really going to be offended by seeing face masks in the audience? WWE already sells a bunch of face masks with their logos on them so use the chance to advertise their merchandise. Why did it take so long to get here?
What do you think of the new rule? Will WWE keep it active? Let us know in the comments below.
