Stick around? WWE often brings in the bigger names for WrestleMania season and that is the case again this year, as Steve Austin is set to appear as a guest on the Kevin Owens Show on WrestleMania Saturday. The segment is the closest thing to a match that Austin has had in nearly twenty years, but there are a lot more shows beyond WrestleMania. What does that mean for Austin’s future?
According to Steve Carrier of Ringsidenews.com, Austin’s appearance at WrestleMania is currently planned to be a one off event, though plans could change in the future. Austin is not expected to wrestle at the show, as he has not had an official match since WrestleMania 19 in 2003. Austin’s segment with Owens is expected to close out the first night of WrestleMania.

Opinion: This might not be the biggest surprise but it should be interesting to see what happens between Austin and Owens on Saturday. Austin is one of the biggest stars in history, but it makes sense to not put him in the ring very often. He is closer to 60 years old than 50, so limiting him to something like this makes the most sense. I’m looking forward to seeing how it works, though the reaction to anything Austin does is going to carry the whole thing.
