You have to protect yourselves. There are all kinds of changes around wrestling today due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus. It is causing various things to be changed for the first time and making things look different than they ever have been before. We might never see something like this again but WWE is still trying to hide what is coming, with a certain way of protecting their secrets.
One of the things that WWE is having to change this year is having to tape the show in advance, along with taping the matches in different places. The idea is to minimalize the amount of people who are going to be working on the show, both in the ring and on the production side. This has a bonus benefit for WWE and they are taking advantage of that opportunity.
According to PW Insider Elite Audio, WWE is not worried about spoilers from the taped WrestleMania because there are so few names working on each match and segment. Since there will be no one working on the whole show, it would be unlikely for the entire show to be spoiled. Also, as the production crews will be so small, it would be easier for WWE to find out who leaked the results than on a usual show, which should prevent spoilers from leaking.
WWE has used spoilers before. Check out their experience with the idea:
Opinion: This is something that works both as a benefit and an annoyance. There is going to be something strange about not seeing the full WrestleMania live as usual, but in this case, it is all WWE can do. This might be the silver lining though and you can’t say the show will be the same old thing. Hopefully the quality winds up being there as well, but it’s not like there is any kind of precedent.
