Who is Next for AJ Styles and the WWE Championship?

Maybe this time. After feuding with Miz over the Intercontinental Title for months and losing the final match in the feud, Dolph Ziggler became #1 contender to the Smackdown World Title by winning a fatal four way elimination match over Miz, Dean Ambrose and Luke Harper. The title match will take place on the December 27 episode of Smackdown Live.

Ziggler, a former two time World Champion, has been near the title again this year. After winning a six pack challenge, Ziggler would earn a shot at the same title at Summerslam. Ziggler hasn’t held a World Title since back in 2013 when he held the title for a little over two months.

I honestly don’t get the appeal of Ziggler. He keeps having these big feud and big moments but he never pulls off the win on the grand stage. Why should I believe that this time is any different? Just because he won another multiman match to earn a shot? At least in this case it’s just for a shot on TV instead of a major pay per view. The match should be entertaining but the story really isn’t doing much for me.
