Here’s when we can see him again. Tonight on Smackdown Live, we finally found out the date of John Cena’s return to WWE TV. As announced on tonight’s show, Cena will be returning for the final episode of Smackdown Live of the year on December 26 from Chicago. This is Cena’s first appearance since back in October at No Mercy. There is no word on what Cena will be doing on the show.

Cena was drafted to Smackdown Live back in July but has only wrestled on the show four times in about six months. This has been mainly due to Cena filming the second season of American Grit as well as acting in other areas. Cena hasn’t been around WWE much lately with only a handful of appearances in total this year.

Hopefully Cena sticks around a little while longer this time because it’s getting a bit annoying having him show up and then leave all over again. It would seem that he’s going to be back for the Road to Wrestlemania and a huge match there, so hopefully he’s on the show at least somewhat regularly going forward.

What do you want to see Cena doing on the show? Who do you think his first feud should be against? Let us know in the comments below.
